I built and ran my own solo residential cleaning business for over 30 years.
But I didn’t start out knowing what I was doing.
I undercharged. I overcleaned. I thought I needed every client who was willing to hire me.
And I learned that working harder wasn’t going to build the kind of business I wanted.
Over time, I learned how to simplify my services, price my work better, choose better clients, and run my business in a way that worked for my life.
I stayed solo, worked part-time, and made more than a full-time income.
I had clients who stayed with me for 10, 15, even 20 years, and some of those long-term clients brought $100,000 or more into my business over the years.
Not because I had a team or a huge cleaning company.
Because I built long-term relationships with the right recurring clients and understood how valuable one great client could become over time.
